Dutch translation (poor, but good effort) of French original tale of a 5 yr voyage in a 40 ft sailboat, with frequent stops of several months to repair the ship. Lots of interesting observations about (mostty) Pacific islands, flora and fauna of land and sea, and the people, both indigenous and colonial that inhabit these islands. Simple text, but fine story. Shades of "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance". Ultimately a very moving book. Makes one want to read the French original.
