Carol Prejean Zippert

Carol Prejean Zippert is a wife, mother, educator, community activist, and newspaper publisher. Born and raised in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, she has lived in Greene County, Alabama, for many years. Greene County, though majority black in population, was one of eight "cipher" counties with zero show more registerd black voters prior to the passage of the 1965 Civil Rights Act.
