The River Ribble: A Local and Natural History by Malcolm Greenhalgh
What an excellent book by a writer who has spent a lifetime researching and more importantly enjoying the Ribble Valley and its surroundings. Full of information about the landscape, flora, fauna and history. An author who obviously favours the fish, animals and plants over the human inhabitants of the region but he has done his bit and included highlights of local history.
