Wonderful edition, a must. The artwork is very well done which is important considering that most probably, the pictures will stay in your child's mind way into adulthood. For study purposes, I'd prefer an ESV translation to the simplified language we find here, but this translation is very suitable to familiarize a child with the "stories".
Covers both the Old and New Testaments; retells all of the major Biblical stories, from the Creation and Moses leading God's people out of Egypt to the birth of Jesus, His many miracles, and His resurrection.
