A hunter wants to capture Tarzan (but don't worry - Tarzan escapes).

It just repeats what the first Tarzan movie did, except it doesn't do it as well (which is really saying something). The climax consists of footage of iguanas, interspersed with shots of our heroes looking frightened. Are they supposed to be giant iguanas? I don't think so; people are usually looking down at them. They're just deadly jungle iguanas, I guess.

2024 movie #136. 1936. Jane's cousins show up to take her back to civilization and their safari guide captures Tarzan to show him in the circus. Spoiler alert, he escapes.
Thunder Afloat is set during the first world war. Wallace Beery plays an veteran tugboat captain who harbors a grudge against younger ex-pal Chester Morris. When Morris joins the navy as an officer, he runs across Beery, who resparks the feud. Both men bury the hatchet and work shoulder to shoulder when German U-boats threaten innocent shippers. Though the action takes place in 1918, the film was intensely topical in 1939 given the renewal of maritime hostilities in Europe and the Far East. show more Thunder Afloat made money by the bushel basket, as did most of Wallace Beery’s formula vehicles.
