I loved this book. It had the prettiest pictures of chickens, yes I said it, chickens! I lived in Arkansas for three years and had a variety of animals, some were weird looking chickens my mother ordered. I loved their strange looks and personalities. 50 acres for them to play on. This book gave a lot of show more trivia and facts that were quite interesting. Egg, chicken, and more facts and humor. You could tell whoever wrote this book loved animals. I feel I am smarter now than I started the book! A fun book for any animal lover. show less

Serna Velasco and Melody Grimshaw live in the small town of Colchis. I thought the first of this novel was amazing! Both girls were on track to self discovery. Of course, there were natural tensions in their journey, but they were able to remain close friends. Then the book went into a totally different direction. It felt focused to me. The beginning and middle were slightly weird and didn't flow particularly well but the end made up for it.
