Stephen Usherwood

An interesting look at an elizabethan amphibious operation, full of information. The Usherwoods assembled a good deal of supporting information and mated it quite sucessfully with an original source that had been quite ignored by the scholars in the field.

A remarkably erudite book, with illustrations, done up in a very readable style. Each section explores the authorship, contents, history and geography, and language of the book in question. Only 100 pages, but full of scholarship.
