It is written in layman's language, so it can be understood by everyone, without having to master clinical terms. The title describes it accurately. It covers the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual" criteria for a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder (BPD), an explanation of the criteria for diagnosis, the origins of BPD, including the role of genetics show more and environment, the course and prognosis, suicidal thoughts and self-harm, and treatment options.
