This travel book was full of colorful photographs, but was less helpful as an actual guidebook, being more useful on customs and sights than on food and lodging.

I read this travel guide book before I left for Hong Kong in the summer of 06, and it was very helpful. Probably the best guidebook I’ve ever read. It informs you of so many fun and interesting places to go and see. I had sites bookmarked on nearly every page.
The maps Insight Guide includes with numbers, matching with sites being described is so helpful. It also includes a small fold out map (not entirely helpful) with a bunch of restaurants pinpointed on it.

Of the several guides I used while in Korea 1987-88, this was the most useful
