4642. Julian of Norwich Mystic and Theologian, by Grace M. Jantzen (read 21 Nov 2009) The author, born a Mennonite, who became a Quaker, studies very sympathetically Julian of Norwich, (born about 1342, died after 1413) who was an anchoress and had visions of Christ's Passion about which she wrote two separate accounts. This book delves into her theological views, reading into them feminist ideas. Much of the book is heavy going for a non-theologian but there are some encouraging words for show more ones who hope to attain eternal salvation, I thought. show less
