Rob Brydon

A humble account all in all of this British comic's route to stand-up success. Being from his home county, there are lots of bits where I get excited where other readers may be mind-numbingly bored. I found his humour throughout to be quite genuine and unforced, however, and I am sure that this will make light and entertaining reading for most people. There is a lot of name-dropping, but this comes across as a tribute to those that have inspired him rather than a show-off rundown of all the show more people he knows. I am sure that there are far more fascinating celebrity biographies out there, but Brydon doesn't try too hard to make himself out to be something that he's not – that's at least worth something.
