Awesome novel written by the parent of 2 disabled children for her "normal" teenage daughter. Sara has an older sister with Down's Syndrome and an older brother with autism. She is teased by a group of bitchy girls at school and hopes to reunite with a childhood friend who has turned into a gorgeous hunk in his teenage years. As well as this, she referees basketball for the disabled comp on Fridays where one of twin guys shows an interest in her and she says no thanks because she thinks he show more has cerebal palsy and then discovers to her embarrassment that he doesn't! The hunky guy also turns out to be a prize pr...ck at her sister's wedding( she marries her best friend Tim who also has Down's Syndrome). Happy story ( eventually) of what it is like to live and survive in a difficult environment which rings very true. ( I have a son with autism and her descriptions are spot-on!) show less
