I TOTALLY do not know HOW I am supposed to write this review without throwing spoilers ALL over the place! Oooookay, so per usual Lacey Weatherford pulls us DIRECTLY into the story- immediately submerging us into the world of Vance and Portia's love... *GASP* soooo DYING to spill here!!

In Blood of the White Witch Vance and Portia are looking for Vance's mother, who was presumed dead... you know because Vance killed her in the FIRST book. Right? I know! Turns out that Vance's father had been show more HIDING her the entire time and Vance had actually killed a shape shifter instead!

Seriously, this book is WICKED intense... So romantic... I freaking laughed and then I CRIED! The end of the book is crazy! HUGE cliffhanger... complete with a major twist in the plot that I so didn't see coming!

I'm going to give you a teensy hint of one of my favorite parts that won't make a bit of sense to you until you read the books!

"Look at the two of us." He grinned seductively while continuing to run his thumb over my lower lip. "Fire and Ice ... literally." ~Vance

Wow, just wow! I wasn't sure how this series was going to go on, especially after the unexpected big moments of Chasing Nikki. Chase has been through more in a few short years than many go through in a lifetime. It seemed that, just as soon as his life really came together, it was all taken away. I read this at a time in my own life when I kind of feel the same way, so this was particularly poignant for me.

Chase has been fighting the reality that he has to move forward with his life. And it show more is unbearably hard for him to do that. His struggles to reconcile his feelings of love and of guilt with moving on is absolutely heart wrenching at times. And, if that isn't enough, he is being essentially bullied by a couple of his fellow football players, almost damaging his future in the process.

The emotions of this book were so very real and they touched my heart. There is a brutal honesty about some tough topics and it pulls at the heart. There were times when he made some bad choices and you just wanted to shake him, but you couldn't help but feeling for him even then.

Things to love about Finding Chase...

--The unabashed emotions of Chase. I love that he doesn't try to pretend that he doesn't feel.
--A whole bunch of other things that I can't talk about for fear of the ever dreaded spoilers!!

My recommendation: Don't read this unless you have already read Chasing Nikki. It's meaning would be lost. But if you have, READ THIS!!!

My advice? Make sure you have a block of time before you start this book! Once I started it, there was no putting it down. I love to be so swept away by a story that there is no other reality for me while I am there and this definitely happened here.

I love that this book, and the series, is written from the point of view of Chase, our main man. It was refreshing to read from a guy's perspective and to see the world through his eyes. The author made sure his voice came across as it should show more have, a YA/NA guy. Lacey's muse for Chase was a real Chase and it is clear that she really understood him and it came across in the book.

Chase starts the book as a bit of a bad ass, a bit of a jerk. But we quickly realize just how tortured he really is and you can't help but feel for him as he struggles through life. Once he met Nikki, that is when you really fall in love with him as he attempts to impress her and make her his. He is alternately sweet and adorable and intense and serious.

But there are definitely some deep and intense moments, moments that make your heart break. And there are times when holding back the tears will be almost impossible. Lacey didn't shy away from the intense, the emotional, and the difficult and it made for a deeply emotional read.

Things to love about Chasing Nikki...

--Chase. His voice was so honest in this book, in the good and in the bad moments.
--Nikki. A strong, smart teenage girl that valued herself and knew what she wanted. She wanted Chase, but she didn't need him to feel complete. I loved that.
--The emotional roller coaster. There was no shortage of emotion. It pulled you in and made you feel right along with the characters.

My recommendation: A fantastic read!

I just finished this book, literally just 2 minutes ago, and I was so excited I had to write this review immediately!! Oh. My. Gosh!! This book was SO good! It has everything you want in a YA book: romance, mystery, witches, warlocks and demons! (At least, that's everything I want in a YA book!!)

The two main characters are Portia, the witch, and Vance, the yummy warlock, who is her soul-mate. Portia doesn't find out until her 16th birthday that she and her grandmother are witches, and her show more father is a warlock, very high up in their coven. Vance, who is on the run from his demon warlock father, first meets Portia when she is 14 and he is 16, and is instantly attracted to her, but he made her father a promise that he would not approach her until her 16th birthday. And true to his word, he waits until after her parents tell her, and then he goes to her. Yes, it was as romantic as it sounds!! Vance is tall, dark and handsome, and my new BBF (book boyfriend)!! These two together have more power between them than anybody has ever seen, so they know they are special together.

What I really liked about this book is that they talk about how much they want to have sex, but they discuss how Vance made himself a promise that because he often has to pick up and go at a moment's notice (if word comes to him that his father has found out where he is and he has to run immediately), he will never leave a girl in the lurch after he has slept with her. Therefore, to keep his word, they can't have sex until after they are married, which they plan on doing when Portia turns 18. And believe me, it's not easy, because Vance is a delicious, romantic, thoughtful, sensitive little morsel!!

The characters in the book are all very well fleshed out, even the supporting players. You feel like you know and care about all of them. The writing is superb. The story just flows from one scene to the next, without any confusion. The book grabs you from page one and doesn't let go, even after you finish it! Yes, there is one hell of a cliffhanger, and a major curve ball is thrown at you near the end of the book, but it is a good one! You don't see it coming and then it's there, and you're just turning pages (or in my case, clicking the next page button on my Kindle) as fast as you can to find out what happens next. I swear, I'm going to have to tape my thumb because it's worn out from clicking on my Kindle! I just couldn't put this book down, it was that good!

In summary, in case you can't tell, I loved this book, and I am going to Amazon right now to buy the second book in the series, because I can't go to sleep until I find out what happens next!!
