The book is from 2008 and it shows. Telling women you can't go bare legged in the summer if you have varicose veins? Screw that noise! However, the colour and shape of clothes tips are still useful. Was worth the scan.
While I did originally buy and use this book to have a quick peek at my own "type", I now mostly use it to decide what clothing the female characters in my books should wear - either on-type if they are fashion-conscious, or off-type if they are a bit clueless. In either case, Colour Me Confident has proven to be a valuable source of information, ideas, and creative tips for character design in my novels.
While it is a bit prescriptive and does generalise and try to shoehorn people into very rigid shapes and colour themes I did have my colours done many years ago and I found it good to break me out of complacency with what colours would work for me. Also the body shape advice and style guides is pretty good, however you have to remember that everyone is individual and this is a good guide rather than prescriptive.

Worth reading, though it does seem to want to put people in very definitive boxes. I found it good food for thought and I really should apply some of the wardrobe sorting tips to mine.

Under this colour chart I would appear to be Soft and cool.
