This book is truly horrendous. Nearly all the examples are plug and chug, and most of the problems are. The derivations incorporate numerous unstated assumptions and there are numerous mathematical typos and errors. Little physical insight is conveyed, and the review of quantum theory is poorly motivated. This is the worst science textbook I have read. If this book is assigned to you for a course, go to the library and find a better book. Because you won't learn much from here, unless you show more have a great instructor. show less
