This book contains over 100 exercises, games, and agendas developed, tested, or used by the Friends Committee on Nonviolence and Children, based in Philadelphia, which helped children gain a concrete understanding of the value of cooperation and interdependence that they can later extend to the world. It includes anecdotes by parents and teachers, an annotated resource lists and bibliographies. An essential part of learning nonviolent ways of resolving conflicts is the creation of a show more trusting, affirming and cooperative environment in home and classroom. This manual has a wealth of suggestions for creating such an environment. show less
