Tottenham fans probably need no introduction to Julie Welch, as her Those Glory, Glory Days gave a mostly-autobiographical look at her obsession with Spurs football (soccer) club as a young girl. Here, she looks at the hundred-plus years of the club, providing historical notes and many anecdotes about players and managers. It's mostly a chronological narrative, but she does repeatedly come back to stories about fabled manager Bill Nicholson and her childhood idol Danny Blanchflower. While show more her quirky asides might not win over neutral fans (and most assuredly not any who wear red on Saturdays), the one inexcusable omission is (the lack of) an index, as it's completely impossible to recall a story about a player and find it instantly in this book.
