Pee-wee Herman travels across the country to go to Joe Manganiello's birthday party.
It made me laugh, but it's no Big Adventure. It has the feel of a TV movie. And it spends way too much time indulging in Road Movie cliches.

A childish man searches for his stolen bicycle.
Pee-wee is awesome. And he's one of the only subjects that fits well with Burton's style (although it might have been a better movie if it had a more comedy-minded director).

Pee-Wee Herman hangs out at his playhouse.
Not as good as the first season, despite being almost identical in quality. There's just increasingly little point in doing the same sort of thing episode after episode. It's still fun, though.

The two proper episodes are pretty weak, but the Christmas Special is great.
