Was a so so book reads more like campfire stories than ghosts. Some of the stories even seem a bit repetitious or are everywhere urban legends. Phantom cars or wagons and the like. There's one haunted house that spans several chapters as it stayed in the same family for generations. Might be good for younger readers although it's written for adults. Authors lament the use of computers and other technologies taking away from the oral tradition of the mountains.
Great book of short stories. While not hide under the covers scary, they were interesting.

I found this to be an especially enjoyable collection of spooky folklore from Appalachia. A totally enjoyable read!
