This book is exhaustive and poorly organized, somewhat repetitive, and (at least when viewed on my Kindle Fire) the pictures are often out of order. Still, it is those pictures alone that make the book worth reading. I can remember these publications from newstands when I was a pre-teen, but I guess I never had the courage to ask my mother to buy one for me. And it's a good thing I didn't! My mind would have been warped! (In a different way, I guess, from how it is warped now....) The author show more (and the author of the introduction) do their best to portray the guilty pleasures of these way over the top horror mags, with their penchant for plagiarism and redrawing the same story more than once. It's rather an insight into the publishing industry of those pre-internet days as well. Recommended for lovers of horror who want to expand their horizons a bit! show less
