Matty Lee

Raw and honest, this is a page-turner of a memoir about a boy from a disastrous family, who makes his way on the street by hustling. It's easy to care about this frank and articulate kid, even as he makes his terrible choices. This is a thoughtful book, raising questions about sexual identity, the power of caring, and even Buddhist philosophy. Don't pick this one up unless you have time to read it to the end.

This book is like a punch in the gut but I was unable to put it down until it was finished. I hope to read something else by Lee very soon.
