Love, Laughter and Lots of Dogs by Ellen Whyte
The Winthrop Family #1
Sitting here as I contemplate what to write in my review I realize I have a happy smile on my face – why? Well, this was a book that was filled with light and laughter and good feelings. The main characters were people I liked and would gladly have as friends. I loved the fact that they were open, honest, in touch with their feelings and unafraid of expressing them. The story was deep and smart and told with care even show more though the actual romance of Cory and Kelly was pretty much smooth sailing. They supported one another, cared about others and loved…animals. Their friends were wonderful, the small town feel delightful, family support was there in abundance, the personal and professional goals of both realistic and…I just loved this book AND I can’t wait for the next one in this series. I see that it is a Winthrop family series but there are a number of male and female friends I would love to hear more about in, too.
This author can and does write well no matter what genre she takes on. I love her light romances but also love the other darker steamier books she has written.
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.

So we are back with another fun, flirty BBW book from the marvelous Ellen Whyte, and although she is a newer author to the BBW world (She is also the fantasy author K.L. Bone), her characters are spot on.
In this book we are introduced to Sophie Weston; the curvy chef that is hired to cater for tech tycoon Richard Cummings for a whole month, while Richard and his team work on a project, and from the beginning the sparks fly between them, and all is going good, until Richard's "troll" friends show more stick their over manicured claws in to their business.
I won't go on any further as I don’t want to spoil this gem of a book for you. To begin with, this book is novella length, but it doesn't feel like it, which is wonderful. The story and characters are well developed, and you are left wanting to know about about the other characters in the book *hint hint*
His Laughing Girl is a delightful story, which is why I give it 5 stars! show less

I love this novella. The quirky inner monologue, strong female lead and blossoming romance made this a fun read. Though this was a novella, you are drawn into this story from the beginning and the characters turn into long lost friends. The author gives a wonderful epilogue that gives the reader a sense of happiness and closure to the story.
What happens to a tourist trying to escape a crocodile by throwing herself into a boat in Egypt? She might just find herself on the auction block hoping to be saved by a knight in shining armor. Lilly and Hafiq’s story is one that is multi-cultural, interesting, compassionate and shows change in both characters as they get to know one another. An interesting fun story that is definitely fiction but one that has a feel good ending that left me hoping that Lilly and Hafiq would be able to be show more happy together forever.
