Ivy by Sarah Oleksyk
very well done teenager-runs-away-from-home story. it's contemporary and relevant and would appeal (i think) to teenagers as well as adults. black and white but it's set in the fall; great drawings of trees and street landscapes. quick and very entertaining read.
Ivy by Sarah Oleksyk
Ivy is angry at the world, for no particular reason besides the fact that she is in high school. After alienating her friends and family, she runs ay with a boy she met at an art school fair and ends up in rural Georgia. When things go sour, she realizes that maybe her life isn't so bad after all. Nice artwork--but I don't think I ever would have identified with Ivy.
