Joyner's translation has a strong bent towards a KJV style and language, something I don't really understand in a modern translation. He also has a habit of changing the verse numbering. His commentary is brief and for the most part follows a fairly strong theme around spiritual authority. Not recommended as a sole commentary but adds an unusual and interesting dimension compared to many others. 13 August 2018
If you read this book as being similar to Pilgrim's Progress (which also claims to have come to the author as a dream), there is a lot here which is helpful and insightful. If you read this as a message directly from God, which appears to be how the author sees it, then it is riddled with theological difficulties.
Interesting. Reminiscent of CS Lewis or John Bunyan. the first half has much more imagery, while the second half as much more philosophical monologuing.
Great book. I did really appreciate Rick Joyner sharing his own personal experiences his ups and downs and things that hinder many in fufilling Gods plan for their lives. The two main pitfalls shared were really eye openers. The book was great, shed light on how we pick leaders wrongly by not discerning people rightly. Good book.
