If I spoke another language, I might have been more attracted to this book. I did think the colorful illustrations were absolutely beautiful. That is by far the best part.
Theme: Accept yourself for who you are. You don't need validation from others.
This would be a great book to use if another language was being taught to very young school aged children.
Love this book! I think its not only beautiful but also is very engaging. This book is written in a very simple way but with a deep message. Tamia, the main character, is not sure if she is small and keeps asking various animals that she meets. The illustrations of the book are colorful and vibrant. The pictures are imaginative and mystical. These illustrations spark the readers imagination. There are lots of repetitions. These will help readers to get use to structure and words. This book show more is a great tool to learn enrich a readers vocabulary. The main message of the story is that no matter how different you are, you are unique and this makes you special. I would definitely use this in my future classrooms. show less
The drawings are so freaking cute and it's a great starter book if you're new to the language as there's English and Korean on every page.
I enjoyed this book, even though I do not speak french. It was fun to look at the comparisons, since both the french and english was on each page. The pictures were fun and exaggerated, which made looking at each page interesting. This book would be useful in a french classroom or in the library if there were french speakers in the school.
