A very well made film with an intriguing story. Glenn Close is superb as the long-suffering wife of a writer. Flashbacks to the late 1950s fill in the background, and an angry, moody young adult son provides some tension as the story unfolds.
Don't be put off by the opening bedroom scene, which isn't typical of the rest of the film. My main gripe is the vast amount of 'strong' language, much of it entirely unnecessary. But it's an excellent film, one which kept us engrossed, with some show more poignancy and a few light-hearted moments too.
Recommended to adults and perhaps older teens.
