Very creative, and all the techniques are fully explained, with variations, materials, etc being discussed as well as the basics. I thought the aunt and uncle fabric dolls with fabric printed photo heads were especially nifty. A great book to stimulate my creativity, and I definitely enjoyed Karol's quirky handmade style, but not a book so indispensably useful that I'd ever consider buying it.
Karol's book is fantastic for beginners as well as seasoned sew-ers. Her projects can be done as directed or offer a great jumping off point for your own creativity.
Nonfiction; crafts/sewing. Excellent book for the modern, beginning sewer, with a variety of wonderful projects that even more expert stitchers will want to try. I especially like the pocket tutorials and easy puppet theater.
Wonderful book! A nice variety of projects, and the patterns are easy to follow with good instructions. Amy's a good writer, and I can't wait to see her next book.
