This story is about Little Brown Rabbit, who is tired of winter and is searching for springtime. Little Brown Rabbit meets many other animal friends along his journey, who point him in the right direction towards where they think "spring" is. This would be a good book for talking about the transition from winter to spring, or the differences between the weather/characteristics of winter and spring. The book also tells about the different animals involved with the seasons, such as a bear, a show more fox, a badger, and an owl. When the book talks about springtime, it highlights that spring involves green grass, bright colors, flowers, sunshine, and happiness! The winter pictures depict grey, cloudy skies and a snowy, cold atmosphere.
