Christine Taylor Patten

Christine Taylor Patten's memoir of being one of Georgia O'Keeffe's late-in-life caregivers is interesting, but brief. Patten had said upfront (in the introduction) that she would not discuss certain things about Juan Hamilton, and that makes for something of a choppy and incomplete picture. The book is augmented by chapters written by Alvaro Cardona-Hine who is less circumspect in her thoughts about Juan Hamilton and about Miss O'Keeffe's living situation. I've read other biographies of show more Miss O'Keeffe, and this book seemed something of an afterthought. show less
