Susan Songer

The Portland Collection has become one of the primary sources at dances around the Northwest. The tunes come from a wide variety of fiddle styles including Quebecois, Irish, Scottish, East-Coast Contra, and Old-Timey. The collection includes both traditional tunes and modern compositions.

The Portland Collections are well-laid out, the music clearly type-set, and in a slightly smaller format than most tunebooks, which makes it easy to carry around. I usually turn to this collection before the show more others on my shelf. show less
