Paul S. Johnson is an archaeologist and geophysicist with very wide experience in the UK, Italy, Spain and Portugal with a primary focus on Roman sites, and a doctorate in Roman Archaeology from the University of Southampton. He has been a member of a series of major international research project teams, and has published widely, especially on Roman townscapes and urbanism. Paul is one of the Directors of Magnitude Surveys, and holds an honorary Assistant Professorship in Roman Archaeology at the University of Nottingham. He is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, currently the Chair of the Archaeological Prospection Community of the European Archaeological Association, and is also a leading member of the International Society for Archaeological Prospection (currently serving as ISAP Fund Secretary). - Places of residence
