This cumulative tale starts and ends with "The Pen That Pa Built" and describes how the sheep that live in the pen give wool that is turned into yarn, died and knitted into a warm baby blanket. A bit long, but children will quickly become accustomed to the repetition which is also used to introduce new vocabulary specific to shearing sheep and turning wool into yarn.
