About the Author
Born in Derbyshire Derek Walters served in the Royal Navy for 10 years and was on board the submarine HMS Talent when she collided with a merchant ship in the Channel. In 1962 he left the Navy and joined the Derbyshire Constabulary and, over the next 30 years, he rose to the rank of Superintendent. show more After retiring he went into the travel business. While he has written a number of articles for specialist journals, this is his first published book. show less
