Short biography
Wayne Anderson is a British artist and illustrator. Born in 1946, he was educated at the Leicester College of Art, and moved to London afterward to look for work in advertising. Becoming a freelance illustrator instead, he eventually married and moved back to Leicestershire. He received his first book commission in 1975, creating the artwork for Ratsmagic (1976) as a result. Since then he has worked on many children's books.
