This was a 2 star read but some of the pictures (black and white only) were interesting enough I bumped it to a 3. This book is almost a century old so it did have a better overall tone than I was expecting. The author's writing style, the flow, and the structure were all working against my enjoyment. This is not a terrible book , and much of the information was correct (as far as I could tell) and interesting, it was just not an enjoyable read.

If you want a book about the mythology of show more Christmas with fun facts and great color pictures I would recommend Christmas Curiosities: Odd, Dark, and Forgotten Christmas by John Grossman. show less
