This book seems to be the only one in existence that covers the history in atheism in the UK. It is therefore unfortunate that is a turgid book full of pontification.
It is an in depth analysis of what was publicly written but it doesn't engage. I failed to read more than two chapters in the three weeks I've had it from my library. I'm having to return it otherwise I would struggle on.
