Good overview of Hittite history, with sufficent geographical and climate information to give a good regional background. The chapters alternate between history and social/economic issues and deliver information in small portions. Occasional tongue-in-cheek wording lightens the read. A bibliography is given at the end of the book, but very few annotations and citations are made in the text.
