What a charming book! It is a compilation of pieces about gardener Christopher Lloyd including two pieces by New Zealanders.
His character and personality shine through in this book as do his house and garden at Great Dixter. Each piece reflects the writers's own experience of Christo and the garden, how they met and what their relationship was.
It is exceptionally well-illustrated with a diagrammatic garden plan and many photographs all clearly and informatively captioned.
Because it not a show more garden book as such, its index doesn't cover plants exhaustively - rather it focuses on people and more general garden topics. show less
