I am a devotional book dropout! I get started on one and then never finish. But Kevin Johnson’s Pray The Scriptures has cured me. It is the perfect devotional guide for lots of people — those with short attention spans, those with tight schedules, and those who want to go deeper into God’s word and His nature. I really like this book and think you will to!

Pray The Scriptures is a 40 day guide that takes the reader into intentional prayer by using scripture and personal reflection to show more begin and maintain a conversation with God. The scripture choices reveal the nature of God’s love, mercy and grace while exposing the needs and hurts of the reader. While each day consists of just a few pages and questions, the material provides a penetrating experience for the reader. And the reader really is in charge of how much time to invest. I have been using the guide for several weeks and have found it to be challenging and enlightening. God’s word really is the perfect way to learn more about God and to go deeper with HIm.

So if you are looking for a fresh start in your quiet time or want to grow closer in your relationship with God, check out Pray The Scriptures.

As a young girl, I leaned to pray - as many of us do - by memorizing and reciting the prayers of my faith. I love the concept and structure of Pray The Scriptures because the book encourages us to interact with Scripture and God in a way many of us are not accustomed to. I think this is especially important for those who are new to the faith or trying to deepen their prayer life.

I appreciate the book's flexible format. While most people will use this book for personal devotions, you could just as easily use it for small prayer or study groups.

I think this would make a good devotional for new Christians who want to deepen their prayer lives as well.

This is an excellent book. Assists in praying strategically and very show more specifically! I've prayed prayers for my son; however, these prayers touch every aspect of a person's life. The prayers are powerful. It is a wonderful guide to covering your children in prayer daily.

Kevin Johnson's prayer book has seen me through a lot of difficulties in my Christian walk. The prayers lead me through to God especially when I no longer have words. I recommend all of her books to break bondage over your life no matter what area you need it in.

I am inspired by his words of wisdom. I recommend this book to any parent that may be questioning themselves and that is looking to pray for his/her self or family. show less

Learn how to grab your place in God's plan to change the world. God's goal is to build a tight group of friends who belong to him, rely on Him & whose hearts beat with compassion for all the people of the world.
