You might want to read this fourth, and the one marked 4 save for fifth, because that one really is focused on tidying things up. This might be the best of all, because it features my favorite theme, Another Point of View. Everybody has different perspectives and ways to communicate, but can learn to get along with each other if they try. Even Badgers. Even Trolls. Wonderful series.

Such a charming series. Funny, too. Also juicy with details about different things like the personalities of the interviewed victims, and the different cakes for different times of day, and what makes a good Book of Law, etc. Much more than a mystery.

Even though this is the first, in which the world and the characters are developed, the story doesn't skimp on the mystery. I love how they had to persist through several first attempts to solve it. I also love the wordplay and other lovely language choices - clearly the translation by Julia Marshall was done with skill, care, and heart.

En bok att läsa tillsammans och samtala om eller att läsa själv. Den innehåller många texter om trygghet och närhet men väjer heller inte för de svåra frågorna om ondska, lidande show more och död. Det är inte en bok att streckläsa utan att ta till sig i små portioner, till exempel på sängkanten, för en stunds reflexion efter dagens bestyr.
