About the Author
James Anderson, from Scotland, was licensed in connection with the Original Secession Church in 1829 and ordained at Kirriemuir in 1830. He retired from the pulpit in 1839 due to voice failure. He joined the Free Church at the Union of 1852 and died in 1877 In addition to Memorable Women of the show more Puritan Times, he also wrote Martyrs of the Bass Rock, Ladies of the Reformation, and Ladies of the Covenant show less
