This is a controversial account of Taylor's final season at Collingwood and the background to Taylor's omission from the Collingwood team during the 1990 finals series. The early chapters look at the finals campaign of 1990 and the 1989-1990 pre-season. It then moves onto an account of the 1990 season told in diary entry format and is an early example of this genre. There is also a chapter of impressions of various football and non-football people Taylor met during his career.
