Hugely enjoyable account of sailing, much of it single handed, from Europe to the Caribbean, the Pacific and Canada - in a small yacht with no engine, by an inexperienced sailor. Crisply written, with excellent descriptive passages - covering not only the intricacies of long-distance sailing, but also the places visited and the people met.
