The Spaces Between Birds: Mother/Daughter Poems, 1967-1995 (Wesleyan Poetry) by Sandra McPherson
A lovely collection that highlights the distance between mother and daughter, as well as the affection there. Lots of nature imagery and fricative tension; a small book that packs an emotional wallop.
