Dark, weird, and haunting. Everything you would hope for from a new tale set in Matthew Bartlett's mythical version of Leeds, MA. I loved the haunted autumnal setting which culminates in a hideous Halloween parade. As with all of Bartlett's work there is a hint of a bigger picture, a deeper, and more twisted mystery at play behind the spectacle of the freak show. Another excellent chapbook from Dim Shores press.
