On its own, it's a quite lovely film with beautiful animation, though as it's a cartoon movie, it does add more to the original Bible story (which is acknowledged with a note at the beginning of the film)
A tale of two brothers, one born of royal blood, one an orphan with a secret past. Growing up the best of friends, they share a strong bond of free-spirited youth and good-natured rivalry. But the truth will ultimately set them apart, as one becomes the ruler of a powerful empire, the other is the chosen leader of his people.
The early life of Moses, leading up to the exodus.

1/4 (Bad).

The first 20 minutes were so awful I spent them continually checking the time to see if I'd watched enough to give up on it yet. It gets better. But whenever I started to warm to it a little, they would start singing and lose me.

An excellent 2007 animated cartoon movie by Dreamworks (makers of the Shrek animated films) about a bee called Barry which can talk, makes friends with a florist in NY, discovers humans have been stealing all the honey, tells the bees to go on strike; then all the flowers die, so Barry rallies the bees to start working again in order to save the planet and the florist. Aimed at children aged 5 to 15, but enjoyable for adults too. Reasonably accurate depiction of the workings of a hive. show more Colourful, fast paced, inventive interpretation of the bees' world. Voices include Gerry Seinfeld and Renee Zellwegger. Certificates G and U. Running time 90 mins show less
