Mary Hood (1) (1950–)

Good book to read as a new homeschooler. Have loaned it out many times to beginning homeschoolers who had concerns about getting it all done and keeping up with "what to teach when" timetables. Always comes back with effusive thanks and big sighs of relief that they really can relax and still homeschool effectively. Next best thing to taking a workshop with Hood a homeschool convention.

This book was just okay in my opinion...might be more meaningful to one who has not homeschooled as long as we have though.

Good suggestions and ideas. Much of the material is covered in Hood's "The Relaxed Homeschool" so may not be essential reading if you have that one, too.
