A quirky novel that reads like a road trip movie. A bit of violence and lots of angst surround a German cab drivers escape with a former KGB agent and a few million in her mob husbands funds. The dynamics between the German and Russian protagonists and the ages old racial animosity that pops up provoked a great deal of thought. Only an abrupt end to the story with absolutely no resolution keeps me from giving this book a higher rating.... Still it was a very enjoyable read.
