Unconventional vampire movie has a fascinating cast, including most of Romero's extended family + Tom Savini + famous orchestra conductor Loren Maazel's father (who lived to be 106!) playing the key grandfather role. But the mixture of present and past, through black & white flashbacks, never really gels. The lead, John Amplas, does a good job in a truly confusing role. But the film isn't particularly suspenseful or scary. The setting, the decaying city of Braddock, Pennsylvania is show more excellent, however. show less
