Let's face it - Hitler was an unlikeable fellow, so discovering the unpleasantness of his final days is somewhat fitting. Karma, if you will. The book addresses the $64,000 question - did he shoot himself, did he take poison, did he take poison and then shoot himself, or did he take poison and have someone else shoot him? For the life of me, I can't remember what the authors concluded - I had to go back and check - it appears the conclusion is Hitler took poison and then shot himself. But show more this conclusion is largely based on other people's work, and I suspect that *those* books would be more interesting, overall. The authors did have access to Russian archives, which is a plus, since the Russians did discover the bodies first; but more evidence only seems to muddy the water. Regardless, I still dislike Hitler after reading this book. show less
The death of Hitler serves little purpose other than setting history correctly. Evidence is not definate but the main point is that he is dead. In 2024 he is very definitely dead.
